Are free spins really free?

By Jack Carter Published Updated

Free spins are free to use and not free to keep. The casino funds the stake on each spin, so you pay nothing to play them. A standard free spins offer then attaches a wagering requirement to the winnings, up to 10x under the UKGC cap, and a deposit offer needs a qualifying deposit or stake first: £10 at Betfred. Cash spins are the genuinely free version: zero stake, zero wagering, winnings paid as real cash. Betfred, PlayOJO and Parimatch set no max win on their cash spins. Where a cap applies, the offer page states it.
