Game Weighting Calculator
The UK Gambling Commission capped wagering at 10x on 19 January 2026 under Social Responsibility Code Provision 5.1.1 (UKGC LCCP). That headline number hides a critical variable: game weighting. If your preferred slot contributes 25% toward wagering, the effective requirement is 40x. That's identical to the pre-cap era. This calculator shows the exact cost in pounds.

How Does the Calculator Work?
The calculator works by deriving five linked outputs. Effective wagering = advertised multiplier / game weighting percentage. A 10x requirement at 25% game weighting produces an effective 40x requirement.
Total stake required = win amount × effective wagering multiplier. This is the total amount you must wager before the bonus converts to withdrawable cash. A £20 win at 40x effective wagering, for example, requires £800 in total stakes.
House edge cost = total stake × 3%. The calculator uses 3% as a representative house edge for UK online slots. Actual RTP varies by game (typically 94% to 97%), so your real cost may be higher or lower.
Expected amount kept = original win amount − house edge cost. This is the statistical average. Individual sessions will vary due to variance, but over thousands of spins this figure converges.
Cash spins comparison uses 0x wagering. With zero wagering, game weighting is mathematically irrelevant (0 × anything = 0), so you keep 100% of your win amount. The calculator displays this figure alongside the wagered result for direct comparison.
Why Do Cash Spins Bypass Game Weighting Entirely?
Cash spins bypass game weighting because they carry 0x wagering. Zero multiplied by any game contribution percentage is still zero. There's no playthrough to complete, so game weighting has no mathematical impact on your withdrawal. This is the fundamental advantage over any offer that carries wagering, even the post-cap 10x variety. For a full explanation of the mechanism, see what are cash spins.
